Additional Cargo Insurance
Shipments booked with CTS GROUP are shipped under standard insurance coverage based on AVC (domestic) or CMR (foreign) conditions. In terms of carrier liability, this cover often does not compensate for the entire value of the shipment in the event of damage or loss. It may therefore be wise to add additional insurance to shipments containing fragile or high-value goods, possibly in combination with our special transport service.
As a CTS GROUP client, we offer you the option to purchase the ‘Additional Cargo Insurance’ for each individual shipment. With this insurance, you have no obligations, and in the event of liability, the entire value of the shipment is covered. The premium of the additional insurance is based on a limit of the value of the goods. This differs for Western and Eastern Europe. In addition, the exact premium depends on the risk group in which the goods are categorised.
